What Ridglea Hills feels like
My take: Ridglea Hills sits in the "I want character" bucket in my relocation guide. It's a west side neighborhood that isn't trying to look like every other neighborhood. If you like a place where the houses and the streets have some variety and you'd rather not feel like you're in a subdivision made last year, this is worth a drive.
It's also a smart pick when you want to be west of downtown without going all the way out to the suburbs. Just remember "six miles" isn't a commute time. Test the drive.

Do the age-of-home homework. Foundation, plumbing, electrical, roof and windows.
Get the insurance quote early and ask about roof age and wind and hail coverage.
Drive your real commute at the times you'd actually be on the road.
Verify school zoning for the exact address with the district. Don't assume the nearby school is your school.
Price the whole month. Here's how I'd build it.
